The library is quite possibly my favorite place. Regardless of race, socioeconomic status, age, or other identity, people come together to enjoy a communal space and access educational materials.
Although my mom tried her darndest to instill the love of reading in mini Amy, it wasn't until after college that I picked up a book to read for pleasure. Now, I self-identify as a sponge - always soaking up new stories, new learnings, and new perspectives.
